Kate's Club

Catherine McAuley founded the Sisters of Mercy in 1831 in Dublin, Ireland. Her purpose was simple: To relieve the suffering and fulfill the needs of those less fortunate than herself. She dedicated her life to that endeavor and left a legacy to the Sisters of Mercy to continue the Mission. In honor of Catherine McAuley and her Mission,  Mercy Medical Foundation has established "Kate's Club," an annual membership fund dedicated to ensuring access to a quality healthcare facility for the people of this region, now and in the future.

Far removed from Dublin, Mercy Medical Center now faces its own set of challenges:

• Technology is advancing at a rapid pace
• Government regulations are constantly changing
• Healthcare reimbursement continues to decline
• The aging population is growing
• The marketplace is becoming more competitive
• Healthcare professionals are becoming more difficult to find

All of these factors directly affect the economic stability of Mercy Medical Center and its ability to meet the future health care and wellness needs of the community.

Community support through contributions of both time and money are essential for continued viability of Mercy Medical Center. By joining Kate's Club, you can help the staff at Mercy Medical Center continue to provide quality healthcare to this region. The proceeds generated from Kate's Club will be Board designated for the purchase of needed medical equipment for Mercy Medical Center.
